These terms are an agreement between you and Aidan Fennessy (the developer, “I” or “me”) about Baby Bathtub Thermometer, an Apple Watch app with an iPhone companion (the “app”). By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
The app reads the water temperature sensor built into some Apple Watch models, shows the reading, and colours the screen according to a temperature range you choose. It is a convenience aid for adults. It is not a medical device, not a safety device, not a certified thermometer, and not a source of medical advice. No regulator has evaluated or approved it. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.
You are responsible for your child’s safety in and around water. You agree that you will:
Readings come from the sensor and software in your Apple Watch; the app adds no correction of its own. A reading measures only the water touching the back of the watch, lags while the sensor warms or cools, and can be wrong by a degree or more. The green “Just right” colour means the reading is inside the range you set. It does not mean the water is safe for your child.
The temperature ranges offered in the app are quoted from the organizations named next to them, with links to their pages. Those organizations have no connection with the app or with me, and their guidance can change after the app was written; check the source before relying on it.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. You use the app at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of or reliance on the app, however caused. My total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, so some may not apply to you.
The app is free for 7 days from your first reading. After that a single in-app purchase, Lifetime Access, unlocks it on the Apple Watch and iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple handles payment and refunds under its own terms; I cannot issue refunds myself. Restore Purchases restores an existing purchase on a new device.
The app is distributed through the App Store, and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claim relating to it.

I may update these terms. The app asks you to accept a changed version before you measure again. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
