Baby Bathtub Thermometer is an Apple Watch app, with a small iPhone companion, that reads the water temperature sensor in your watch and shows whether bath water is too cold, just right, or too hot.

What Baby Bathtub Thermometer collects

Nothing. Baby Bathtub Thermometer does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

• There is no account and no sign-in.
• There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking components.
• The app makes no network requests of any kind.
• Water temperature readings are shown on the watch while you measure and are then discarded. They are not saved and never leave the watch.
• Your preferences (temperature unit, the “just right” range, Water Lock and haptic settings) and the date you accepted the safety notice are stored on your device. The unit and range are copied between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s Watch Connectivity framework, which stays on your own devices.

Motion & Fitness permission

watchOS asks for Motion & Fitness access the first time you measure. The water temperature sensor is part of Apple’s Core Motion framework, so that permission is the only way to read it. Baby Bathtub Thermometer uses the permission solely to read the submersion state and water temperature while a measurement is running. It does not read steps, workouts, or any other motion data.

Children

Baby Bathtub Thermometer is a tool for parents and carers. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
